About
Located on the northwest corner of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s east campus, Credit Union 1 Arena is a 10k capacity multi-purpose arena that hosts events for UIC, as well as promoters and groups. The arena serves the university and Chicago community bringing the area exciting sports, concerts, gatherings, and special events.
Our Mission
The mission of Credit Union 1 Arena is to support UIC’s pursuit of its strategic goals, while bringing students, faculty and community together through culturally diverse events that promote the University as an educational institution and the Arena as a place for entertainment.
Our Box Office
Our Box Office is open Thursdays and Fridays from 9am – 4pm, as well as other select weekdays proceeding events and 2 hours before show time. It’s located on the West side of the building, just north of the intersection of Harrison and Racine. All arena tickets are available here, as well as on Ticketmaster.

ADA Accessibility
Credit Union 1 Arena is ADA accessible. A person with disabilities can enter at any door and can use the elevator depending on the event or what kind of seat they have. Guests that require a wheelchair, for general admission events such as commencement, are advised to stay at the top of any open section on the mezzanine for their own safety. If a patron has a main floor general admission concert ticket, they are advised to use the elevators on the east end of the building to access the floor. Please note when purchasing tickets that the elevator only provides access to the main floor seating, and not the second level.
We have wheelchairs available for rent, free of charge. The guest needs to have a photo ID to use a wheelchair around the building. At the end of the event, the guest will need to bring back the wheelchair to claim their ID.
There are complimentary wheelchair escorts provided upon request at every entry point, based on availability. Our staff will not remain with you during an event nor allow you to remain in the wheelchair during the event. For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their personal wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair at our Guest Services booth located near Gate 3. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event, or any other preferred time.
The arena offers wheelchair-accessible and companion seating on an event by event basis. Wheelchair-accessible seating is available at the box office on event day and through Ticketmaster. Guests with wheelchairs may make arrangements prior to arrival by calling (312) 413-5700 and asking for the guest service coordinator.
